Taste of the Town, the popular annual fundraiser benefiting the Gibson Centre for Community, Arts and Culture, may have to wait another year for a full sit-down experience, but some lucky local foodies will be able to take part in a re-thought and re-tooled smorgasbord of culinary delights.
Tickets are on sale now for a draw featuring over $5,000 in restaurant gift cards, secured with the support of the Rotary Club of Alliston.
Priced at $20 for each ticket, $50 for three, and $100 for ten, 100 per cent of the proceeds will support the Centre and ensure they are able to provide arts and cultural programming in their heritage building for years to come.
“We know you love Taste of the Town, and we’re all sorry to be missing out on our biggest annual fundraiser for the second year in a row!” said the Centre. “We understand and share the hardships faced by the local food and beverage industry trying to survive this pandemic and wanted to find a way to support these businesses so that we can look forward to a thriving Taste of the Town in 2022. As such, we have created the greatest dining experience raffle this town has ever seen – and we need your help!
“We have assembled over $5,000 restaurant gift cards with the generous support of the Rotary Club of Alliston. The first place winner the of this raffle will be able to dine out like kings and queens with a full complement of gift cards to all your favourite local food and beverage joints! Second prize is 12 months of pizza and third prize is 12 months of handcrafted pie.”
Tickets are on sale now through gibsoncentre.com and the draw date is set for Thursday, August 12 at 4 p.m.
