Girl Guides visit Procyon

May 14, 2014   ·   0 Comments

On Monday May 5th, the First Beeton Girl Guides visited Procyon Wildlife for a fun and informative session about the work done at Procyon and how to live peacefully with their wild neighbours. Escorted by Guide leader Tracy Wilkinson, the girls marvelled at the baby raccoons and squirrels as they watched them being fed by the animal care volunteers. There were many astute questions about the orphaned babies and the care they were observing through the two way glass in the nurseries. At the end of the session, they offered a generous donation to Procyon – which is a registered charity run by volunteers and relies solely on donations to rescue and rehabilitate the animals that are brought in by the public.
