Saturday, the winners of “The Great Big Beeton Bee Contest”, a project of the Beeton Tottenham Business Improvement Association (BTBIA), were awarded with their prize money.– 1st $2000; 2nd $1000; 3rd $500 Scott Rowe. Pictured, from left: Scott Rowe’s 3rd Place Bee, (Scott Rowe not pictured), Brian Gillett (a director of the BTBIA), Councillor Jim Stone, Meagan Shaw’s 2nd Place Bee, Bo Niederhuber (Chair BTBIA), Meagan Shaw (2nd Place winner), Jim Jackson (a director of the BTBIA), Andrea Romanick (first place winner), John Harrett (treasurer / director in BTBIA), Andrea Romanick’s 1st Place bee, Councillor Richard Norcross. Just under 1000 votes recorded. Bees were judged by festival goers at the 40th annual Beeton Honey & Garden Festival on May 25th. The 2nd Annual Great Big Bee Contest will take place at the Festival again next year. The BTBIA is also working on a special art contest for Tottenham next year. Details to be released in the near future.
