Heart is still Beeton

June 6, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Dear editor:

Bonnie and I would like to invite you to Beeton on Saturday June 8th, to help celebrate 50 years of Lumsden Brothers Wholesale in the Ontario Market.

To celebrate we are having some exciting outdoor events from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

We will also be remembering the life of a good friend, Pat Horan-Murdock, who we just lost to cancer, by having our Charity BBQ for her Alliston Relay for Cancer Team.

There will be Cars from the 60’s, music and sampling of beverages that sell popularly in Beeton.

There will be two Peoples Choice prizes for the best original and modified 60’s vehicle.  There is also a draw for one lucky person who is either turning 50 or celebrating 50 years of marriage in 2013 to win a Beeton Foodland $50 gift card.  Come on out and reminisce with friends what you were doing in June of 1963. Brian Good tells me if you lived in the 60’s, you lived. Well we all know that the 60’s were the dawning of Rock and Roll and Hughie Lewis sang in his song, “The Heart of Rock & Roll is still Beeton”.

Come on out, support a good cause and help us thank you for supporting local retailers.
