Helping the Tottenham Food Bank through Photography

After the success of last year’s Portrait Sessions supporting the Tottenham Food Bank, local Photographer, Jennifer Gilbert, and her assistant, Catherine Pearce, held another round this year with a Back To School theme. The only payment required was a non-perishable food item. “Last year, the Our Town Food Bank was low on supply prior to Thanksgiving, and I wanted to do my part to ensure that it didn’t happen again this year,” said owner Jennifer Gilbert. “It never ceases to amaze me how supportive this community is when it comes to helping others. These sessions were fully booked within 48 hours of their announcement!” Jennifer photographed 16 children ranging in age from 2 years up to 10 years, during the day on Sunday, September 20th. She collected approximately 60 pounds worth of food that will be taken to the food bank this week. Jennifer is already looking forward to next year’s sessions which will be held the third weekend of September.
