Say goodbye to summer and welcome to fall by planning to attend the interesting and informative programmes offered by the Tecumseth & W. Gwillimbury Historical Society.
On Monday September 16 we welcome Ken Purvis, the Programmes Co-ordinator and Interpreter at Montgomery’s Inn and his period musical instruments to demonstrate the kinds of music that would have been heard in 1812. A new season ushered in musically will be treat that can’t be missed.
For the following month, on Monday October 21, a trio of speakers will bring us news on the effort to designate Lake Simcoe as a Heritage lake. Tony Bellisimo, Barb Love and Marj Mossman are enthusiastic supporters of this endeavor and will stir your enthusiasm with photos, memories and stories.
November’s Remembrance Day programme will take place on Monday November 18th – our annual tribute to the veterans of WW2.
And, to round out the year, our Annual Christmas Party will be the highlight of early December.
Interested? Intrigued? You are welcome to join us at the Tec We Gwill Hall in Newton Robinson. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by a social hour with delicious refreshments.
