Hornets announce fan responsibility for this season

September 30, 2021   ·   0 Comments

The good news is Alliston Junior C Hornets fans will be able to attend games this year.

That doesn’t mean there is bad news to go along with this announcement, it just means fans will have to follow some protocols when at the games.

In keeping with provincial regulations as well as those put in place by the Town regarding Town facilities, all fans entering the arena for a game must provide proof of vaccination along with photo ID when they arrive. The rules apply to all spectators, parents, guardians, and volunteers.

This excludes people under the age of 12 who are not required to be vaccinated.

In addition, everyone in the arena will be required to wear a mask during games.

Due to the provincial government regulations regarding COVID-19, the Hornets have decided not to sell season tickets for the 2021/22 season.

During this stage of the province-wide re-opening, seating capacity in rink 1 – the Hornets home ice – will be limited to 400 people, so if you want to attend a game, you should be prepared to make arrangements to arrive early so you can get a seat.

The hockey club has also updated their front-end management when it comes to accepting payment for tickets.

They will now accept debit and credit card in addition to cash when paying for game night tickets.

Tickets are now: adult $8.00, senior and students $6.00, and youth 12 and under $4.00.

The Provincial Junior Hockey League season will get underway during the first week of October this year.

The Hornets home opener is scheduled for Friday, October 1, when they will host the Orillia Terriers at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre.

Game time is 7:30 p.m.
