Hot air balloon landing injuries On June 6, at 9:10 p.m., the Nottawasaga OPP received a call regarding a hot air balloon carrying 12 passengers making a hard landing near 5856 Highway 89 in Essa Township. Nottawasaga OPP investigation reveals that two of the passengers were thrown from the passenger area on landing. They were treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is still ongoing by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
