On Sunday March 26, 2017 at 11:43 p.m. an officer with the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol in Alliston, when that member noticed a vehicle in the drive thru and an employee leaning out of the drive thru window, attempting to get the driver’s attention to move forward.
The employee was unable to get the attention of the driver; therefore police approached the vehicle and spoke with the lone male driver.
After further investigation into the driver, it was determined that 28-year-old Josh Stephens of Alliston was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested and charged with Over 80mgs of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
He was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date.
