A Nottawasaga OPP Officer was conducting laser enforcement on July 8, on the 25th Sideroad of Essa at the 9th Line of Essa when an Officer noticed a vehicle stop 150 meters in advance of his location; the driver and passenger switched positions in the vehicle and then the vehicle approached the officer’s stationary position.

A traffic stop was initiated by the officer to find that the original driver of the vehicle had a licence classification “I” which makes it mandatory that he operates a motor vehicle with a functioning ignition interlock device.

Charged is 53 year old Edmund Michael Jazwinski of Essa Township, he is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with driving without an interlock device, Contrary to Sec. 41.2(13).  He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on August 14, 2013 to answer to this charge.
