Leitch announces funding for SSAC

Dr. Kellie Leitch, Member of Parliament for Simcoe–Grey, attended the Beeton Honey & Garden Festival on Saturday to announce funding for the South Simcoe Arts Council. “Our Government received a strong mandate from Canadians to invest in organizations that support local artists,” said Dr. Kellie Leitch. “By supporting this organization, our Government is delivering on its commitment to strengthen our economy and support our arts, culture, and heritage.” The South Simcoe Arts Council has received funding of $6,100 to help present the 9th edition of Arts on Main 2013 in South Simcoe County, which will take place from May 25th to June 10th. Activities include musical performances and demonstrations by local artists and artisans.
