Last week the New Tecumseth Public Library held children’s events at all three branches.
The first event took place on Tuesday at the Alliston Memorial Branch and featured ‘IncrediBrent’, a Toronto-based magician with Disney Cruise Ship training. Incredibrent was “incredible”, according to library staff, even staying after his performance to host a free wand workshop for interested participants.
The second event was hosted by the Pam Kirkpatrick Branch in Tottenham and took place at the Tottenham Community & Fitness Centre. This presentation featured Doug and Sam of ‘Zootek’ who brought “wildly exciting” animals to share. Zootek gave information on animals and gathered children together to hold and touch animals and reptiles in a controlled manner.
The final presentation, of the D.A. Jones Branch in Beeton, took place on Wednesday at the Beeton Memorial Arena (upstairs). This presentation featured Tina the “Bubbleologist” who wowed children with her various soap bubbles, including a square bubble, big and little bubbles and even a baby in a bubble.
The trio of events was a farewell to summer before the return of the school year of all things fun and exciting for kids to see, feel and guess on.
