Lighting up the night sky in the New Year

The Rotary Club of Alliston, Firefighters with the Town of New Tecumseth and The Town of New Tecumseth invited residents of all ages to the Rotary Pool parking area in Riverdale Park, Alliston for an evening of family winter fun on January 4th. The annual 12th Night Bonfire was lit at 6:30 p.m. and fueled by unwanted Christmas trees donated by the public. Rotarians sold hot dogs, provided by Country Meat Cuts, and cups of hot chocolate, provided by Tim Hortons – Angus at the old fashioned price of 25¢. The trees were piled and high, and the fire reached new heights at the first Town event of 2019 – attended by a huge number of residents, the most in the events history.
