For the second year in a row, Jonathan Handy has turned his birthday into an opportunity to help others. Rather than accept gifts, the Alliston resident who turned 11 this year, hosted a ball hockey game at the Alliston Memorial Arena on Sunday, June 2, to raise funds in support of Autism Ontario. Jonathan, is not only a huge hockey fan, he is the official stickboy for the Alliston Junior C Hornets Hockey Club. Several members of the Hornets team came out to play with the guests who turned out to have an afternoon of ball hockey and help raise funds for a good cause. The event was a huge success raising $900 in support of Autism Ontario – doubling the amount raised last year.
