Local Quilt Store supports Humane Society –

April 3, 2014   ·   0 Comments

Country Concessions, a local quilt store, recently held an extremely successful fundraiser to help support the Alliston and District Humane Society. Customers of the store were asked to donate their “Bonus Bucks” to the Humane Society during the month of December, 2013. Bonus Bucks are “dollars” that customers receive on most of their purchases which they can then save to use towards future purchases. So many customers contributed their Bonus Bucks that the store was able to raise $500 to donate to the Humane Society. Ernie and Glenna Ogle of the ADHS recently stopped by the store and owners Cynthia Ramsay and Shannon Fullerton were delighted to present them with the proceeds of the fundraiser. Country Concessions is located at 1 Dufferin Street in Cookstown and is one of the largest quilt shops in Canada. They have a huge inventory of over 7000 bolts of fabric and a wide selection of notions, patterns and books. They are also a well-established Pfaff sewing machine dealer and also repair all makes and models of machines. Pictured from left: Ernie Ogle, Glenna Ogle, Cynthia Ramsay, Shannon Fullerton.
