Looking for feedback from residents

Dear editor:
Members of the Adjala–Tosorontio Community Based Strategic Plan (CBSP) Advisory Committee have recommended to Adj–Tos council six overarching strategic goals to be addressed in a final draft document for the consideration by Council members at their December 14, 2015 meeting. These strategic goals are:
• Quality of Life (focusing on community health, comfort and happiness)
• Environmental Stewardship (focusing on the responsible use and protection of our community’s natural environment through conservation and sustainable practices)
• Economic Development (actions taken to promote a manage the growth of our community in a responsible way while respecting the natural environment, health and safety)
• Communication (imparting or exchanging of information or news affecting our municipality through various media including the Internet)
• Effective Governance (with emphasis on accountability, transparency, responsiveness, respect for the rule of law and inclusion for all)
• Safe and Healthy Community (clean and safe physical environment, protection of natural environment and good access to food, clean water, fresh air, housing, work, recreation, healthcare and schools)”
Our group is hosting a Community Open House this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in order to obtain as much feedback and suggestions from residents as possible.
