Meet Your Neighbour Picnic August 17th in Beeton

The Annual Meet Your Neighbour Picnic is set to take place at the Beeton Park this Sunday, August 17th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to “meet your neighbours” literally, and get out of the house for a free day of fun family activities.

The 2014 event schedule is:

• 8 a.m. ball tournament starts

• 9 a.m. pancake and sausage breakfast “flippin” with the Beeton Firefighters Association

• 10 a.m. Plaque ceremony to celebrate 31 years of MYNP in Beeton

• 10:30 a.m. church service in the park with St. Andrews Presbyterian Church

• 11 a.m. vendors open; children’s activities begin; games and prizes; bouncy castle; sumo wrestling; food bank donation box; silent auction inside Rotary Hall (proceeds going to local food bank)

• 11 a.m. lunch food booth

• 11 a.m. registration for outdoor dart tournament

• 12 p.m beer garden opens; Crazy Pants Theatre live on main stage; dart tournament starts

• 1 p.m. Sean Bourke Band live on main stage

• 4 p.m. The Wilma’s live on main stage

• 5 p.m. bike draw winner announced on main stage

• 6 p.m. baseball championship game.

Plan to attend the Beeton Meet Your Neighbour Picnic and don’t forget to fill out ballot for free bike, donated by New Tecumseth Taxi Inc., and stay for a free corn roast at 5 p.m.
