NDBL season starts this weekend

The North Dufferin Baseball League will see the first pitch thrown this coming weekend with the Junior division starting Friday night, and the Senior division getting underway on Saturday.
The newly formed Alliston Athletics Junior teams will play their first game on the road in Innisfil on May 10, with the first pitch scheduled for 8 p.m. Game time is 8:30 p.m.
The Athletics will host their home opener on Thursday, May 16, at Riverdale Park in Alliston. Game time is 6 p.m.
In the Junior division the Midland Twins and New Lowell Knights have opted out this season leaving six teams to battle it out.
The Junior teams will play a 20 game regular season schedule.
In the Senior division there are 14 teams on the schedule for this season.
The Senior squads will play a 26 game regular season that will run through to the end of July before starting the playoffs.
