New “Ask an Expert” program focuses on employee mental health

A new program in the County of Simcoe’s “Ask an Expert” webinar series will focus on employee mental health and wellness.

Business leaders and human resource professionals are encouraged in take part in the seminar to hear advice, guidance, and best practices for supporting the mental health and wellness of yourself and your employees.

The seminar will include topics such as the importance of mental health and how it affects your business and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It will also discuss how to manage stress and anxiety, where to go for help including resources, tools and apps, and how to improve your mental health according to science.

Seminar leaders will explain what the conditions of the last two years have to mental health and how to help those around you who are struggling.

Speakers at this seminar include Liz Grummett of the Canadian Mental Health Association. Ms. Grummett has been part of CMHA Simcoe County for over 20 years working in case management, crisis intervention, outreach support, education, and fundraising.

Sandy Krieghish, of Homewood Health, is a clinical manager and senior account executive. She has a Master’s degree in educational psychology, a Bachelor’s degree in communication, and over 30 years of experience in the field.

The Ask and Expert virtual program will take place on Thursday, April 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
