Some of you may have noticed some small changes to the old Parson Seed Mill on Dayfoot Street in Beeton. Well it’s now a flour Mill and new owner Mark Hayhoe comes from a long line of millers and is committed to offering all natural flour (no additives) with related baked products to local residents and restaurants in New Tecumseth.

“It’s no secret today that people are looking for something healthier and more nutritious to feed their families and I believe in going back to the old natural ways of milling and producing flour recipes, some of my recipes go back a 100 years,” said Mark.

Mark lives what he believes and is a strong promoter of non engineered foods and naturopathy himself.

“The Mill will produce a variety of different flours suited to most pallets, we have something for everyone, including low yeast and other flours that are much easier to digest,” said Mark.

Currently the flour is supplied to various bakeries in the area who bake the flour into finished products for their own use and some of which is supplied back to the Mill and offered for retail sale.

Mark said: “that his goal is to offer a more convenient, healthy, nutritious product, for local resident’s consumption.

The Beeton, K2 Milling Ltd. is open daily through the week and offers fresh baked products every Saturday morning. They also offer frozen bread which Mark says keeps well and tastes just as good.
