New momentum for Annual FAB Golf Tournament

July 18, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Registrations, prizes and sponsorships are rolling in for the 9th Annual FAB Golf Tournament to raise funds for a new Leisure and Training Centre in Beeton. This year the event is again being held at the beautiful Club at Bond Head on Sunday, August 11th. Extra energy is going into the organization of the tournament this year to coincide with the pursuit of infrastructure federal grant funding through the new Building Canada Plan.

Consequently generous donations and features add exceptional value to this tournament.  All participants will be rewarded this year, as each will receive a 2 for 1 coupon for any ClubLink public play course, a sleeve of TaylorMade golf balls, and a gift towel.

In addition over $10,000 worth of gifts, prizes and auction items have been donated and will be distributed at the tournament.

For Leafs fans, tickets to a home game are up for grabs.  Golf foursomes at numerous elite courses have been donated including Glen Abbey (home of the 2013 Canadian Open), King Valley and Wyndance. Muskoka Golf and Accommodation Packages will be offered at Rocky Crest, Lake Joseph and Grandview. Accommodations have also been donated at the Sheraton Hotel in Toronto.

Organizers are encouraged by the participation this year of local development companies reflecting the added value that our new Leisure and Training Centre will bring to Beeton.

Sorbara Development Group, Walton Development Management, and Alliance Homes (West Country Beeton) have all pledged support for our Golf Tournament this year.

As a new feature this year the tournament is offering the ‘Hickory Challenge’ prize.  Dave Blockside will be dressed in 1920’s attire using 100 year-old ‘antique hickory’ golf clubs and will challenge participants to beat the hickory player’s shot.

To be a contributor to making this new facility a reality, you can come play in the tournament, either as a single player or a group – golf and dinner is only $165 per player; you could sponsor a hole for $400 (with golf and dinner for one included), come for dinner only for $50 or donate prizes. Registration forms are available at www.thefab.ca, or email tracyandrews@rogers.com for more information.

Live entertainment is available at dinner so come and catch the spirit.
