On September 18th, at noon My Broadcasting Corporation kicked off its brand new station in Alliston 92.1myFM in Alliston with a 5000 song marathon. The marathon continued through until Monday September 23rd when at 6 a.m., 92.1myFM officially launched its regular programming starting with News, Sports and Weather with Tommy West and Jamie and Laura in the morning from 6–9 a.m.
The stations daily lineup also includes Jessica Bilson from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Jeremy Riddell from 1 – 3 p.m., Michael Badaway from 3 – 7 p.m., Adam Liefl from 7 – 10 p.m. and afternoon news with Heather Garriock. Gerry Hamill’s Sunday morning Music Vault from 8 a.m. – noon is bound to be a favourite with listeners as he revisits songs we love from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
“At myFM our motto is “local news first” and our news team is committed to bringing residents of New Tecumseth up-to-the-minute local news, sports and information on what’s going on in the community,” reads a press release. “We’ll bring you updates every half hour between 6 and 8:30 a.m. and hourly updates until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday along with breaking news updates as they happen. We’ll also have weekend news coverage and our myFM Community Cruiser will be everywhere on the streets of New Tecumseth.”
