New Tecumseth residents encouraged to read this summer

The Town of New Tecumseth is encouraging its residents to make this summer, one that’s full of reading.

The New Tecumseth Public Library (NTPL) has created a summer reading initiative, dubbed One Book, One New Tecumseth.

New Tecumseth consists of three areas: Alliston, Beeton, and Tottenham, this event was created in attempt to everyone together through reading.

The inaugural One Book, One New Tecumseth was launched recently, and features the novel ‘Above All Things’ by Canadian author Tanis Rideout.

The novel describes George Mallory’s last expedition of Mount Everest, and an analysis of a day in the life of his wife.

Residents are encouraged by the library to join One Book, One New Tecumseth and take part in its discussion groups at any of its branches.

The novel will be available for loan through the library or residents can purchase a copy at any of the local branches.

The NTPL scheduled a meet the author event to end the inaugural ‘One Book, One New Tecumseth’. A night out with Tanis Rideout will take place on October 22nd, at the Gibson Centre. For more information, visit any of the NTPL branches.
