North Dufferin Baseball League releases 2022 player stats

If you follow sports, you know that baseball probably keeps more statistics on games and players than just about any other league.

The North Dufferin Baseball League has released the final stats for its players from the 2022 season.

The New Lowell Knights were the Senior Division champions last year. They played 24 regular season games, winning 21 times, and finished first place in the regular season. The Knights scored 197 runs over the season while allowing 80 against.

In individual stats, Chris Greer of the New Lowell Knights topped the Senior Batting List with 51 at-bats, 32 hits, and a .627 batting average.

Liam Bryant of the Midland Mariners had 59 at-bats, 30 hits, and a .508 batting average.

Chris Fafalios of the Bolton Brewers scored the most runs during the season with 30.

Steve Baldry of the New Lowell Knights was ranked the top pitcher for the season.

Tristan Cabral of the Clearview Orioles managed the most home runs for the season, putting the ball out of the park on five occasions.

Eight other players in the Senior division tied with four home runs each.

In the Junior division, the Creemore Padres were the champions with a come-from-behind win in the final series.

The Caledon Nationals won the regular Junior Division season, winning 11 of 14 games with 141 runs scored for the season.

The top batter in the Junior division was Andrew Foster of the Midland Twins. Foster had 30 at-bats, 17 hits, and a .567 batting average.

Cameron O’Neil of the Caledon Nationals had 41 at-bats, 23 hits, and a .561 batting average.

For most runs scored, Brayden Grech of the Caledon Nationals topped the list with 19. Grech also tied the home run column with Lucas Watters of the Barrie Baycats with two each for the year.

Ten other players hit one home run for the season.

The North Dufferin Baseball League season is now, with the first game on May 6.
