On Thursday, July 11th the New Tecumseth Public Library is celebrating its inaugural One Book, One New Tecumseth event.
Mayor Mike MacEachern will be hosting the inaugural event, and will feature Above All Things by Tanis Rideout.
One Book, One New Tecumseth was created to encourage a community-wide reading connection.
Above All Things was chosen due to its general appeal for men and women of all ages.
The novel describes George Mallory’s final expedition to Mount Everest, and includes a descriptive account of a day in the life of his wife.
Books will be made available on July 11th, for $15 at the Memorial Library branch in Alliston.
The New Tecumseth Public Library has organized an opportunity for residents to meet Tanis Rideout.
The author event has been scheduled for October 22nd (7–9 p.m.) at the Gibson Centre. For more information contact 705 435-0250.
