The 1st Annual Mill Around the Market Pumpkin Carving/Colouring Contest was held on Sunday, October 6th at K2 Milling on Dayfoot in Beeton. The event, organized by Robert Hellier, was well attended with entries in all four categories. Pumpkins for the event were supplied by local farmer, Bob Webber, owner of Bailey Creek Limousin located on County Road 1 (east of the Loretto Tavern). Sunday was also the final Mill Around the Market for the season, which concluded with a vendor appreciation barbecue. The Bread Market at K2 Milling will continue into the winter, every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – and discussions on an indoor market over the winter months are ongoing. Check the Facebook site for updates. Pictured: pumpkins line the walkway into K2 Milling, while vendors sell their wares.
