The Nottawasaga OPP were busy with motor vehicle collisions over the weekend with nineteen reported collisions in total.
Police responded to two roll over collisions where, thankfully, there were only minor injuries. One of the roll over collisions was on the 20th Sideroad east of County Road 56 and the other on County Road 90 in Essa. In both collisions, the drivers walked away with only minor injuries and in both cases rolling their vehicle’s two to three times before coming to rest.
Most collisions are preventable especially if you adjust your driving to the weather and road conditions. Each time you get behind the wheel of your vehicle, assess the weather and road conditions and determine if it is really necessary to be on the roads, especially during winter storm warnings.
The OPP extends its appreciation to drivers who adjust their driving to the conditions of the road and our officers will continue to focus on those aggressive drivers who do not.
