Quite a stunt

On Friday, April 12, at 4:30 p.m., an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the OPP was conducting speed enforcement in the area of Mount Hope Road and Old Church Road. The officer observed a 2004 Pontiac travelling at a high rate of speed and determined that the driver was operating the vehicle at 115 km/hr. in a 60 km/hr. zone.
As a result of the traffic stop, Terry Douglas Smith, 54, of Tottenham was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge.
The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Caledon on May 13.
