Ring for service – accessibility program ramps up for spring

The Town of New Tecumseth has received applications and granted ramp rebates to two local businesses through the Ramp Rebate Program.
The Accessibility Advisory Committee noted at its February 6th meeting that they wish to investigate the possibility of incorporating the requirement of including a buzzer or bell with the purchase of a portable ramp for the rebate program.
“Having visited both locations, it was noted that a person requiring use of the portable ramp should be able to notify that business when they need access to the store”.
The committee and staff will research this item for consideration at a future Committee of The Whole meeting.
