Dear editor:
With the continued support of our communities, People In Transition (Alliston) Inc., “My Sister’s Place” is able to work towards our goal of eliminating and preventing violence, of any kind, against women and their children and to enable our important services to continue.
Once again, my volunteers and I were astounded by the wonderful support and generosity received by our community on the evening of June 14, at our 14th Annual Road Toll locations in Alliston and Beeton. The Road Toll is an important yearly event that takes place to support the Residential and Outreach Programs that we offer in our catchment areas. I am happy to report that this year we were able to raise $5,135.
I especially thank our Board of Directors, staff members and volunteers for their enthusiastic support at this and all other public awareness and fundraising events! For more information please visit our web site at www.mysistersplace.ca and ‘like’ us on Facebook.
Deborah Herrington,
Executive Director
