Dear editor:
The 158th Beeton Fall Fair will be held this September 12 – 14th at the Fair Grounds in beautiful downtown Beeton. Friday night we are planning to have live bands until closing time.
The Carter Shows midway (www.cartershows.ca), vendors, the classic car show, Kids Zone and the Demo Derby will all be back. Entertainment will take place throughout the day Saturday, along with the 4H exhibits and judging of cattle, horses, sheep, fowl and grains.
Saturday will see live music and entertainment on the main stage and an extension of the hours the midway will be open. In the arena, exhibits from area schools produced by the children of our community will be on display. There will handcrafts, examples of the culinary arts, bottled goods, produce, photography, fine art and quilts produced by members of our community. Try some of the great food available upstairs in the Arena or out on the Fair grounds.
The admission fees to the Fair are the same as last years at $5, $6 and $7 for the 12th, 13th and 14th of Sept. respectively for adults and high school ages. Public school age children are still Free admission except on the Sun where 10 years and under are free when the demolition derby is on.
Bring the kids, some snacks and a sleeping bag and enjoy the free movie shown in the park Saturday night, after dusk. With some good weather it will be a great time. Check our web site, www.beetonfair.ca for further information.
Members of the community of New Tecumseth are invited to share their input and feedback with the Fair Board. If there is something you would like to see at the Fair or have an opinion on how the Fair could be improved, let us know at beetonfair@gmail.com. Anyone wishing to volunteer to help at the fair or who would like to become a member or a sponsor can also use our email address to contact us. It is a great way for high school students to bank some community hours and also contribute to their community.
I hope to see you at the Fair.
