Sign to be removed in Beeton

The Town of New Tecumseth recently received a request for a sign variance in Beeton. The portable sign, owned by Clifford Tucker, has already been in place for almost a month and advertises tax and accounting services.
At the Committee of the Whole meeting on Monday, council decided that the request for variance would not be granted and that the sign, located at 2 and 4 Main Street East, Beeton, should be removed immediately, as the sign is not on the same property as the business which it is advertising.
