Sixteen New Tecumseth staff on ‘sunshine’ list

The Town of New Tecumseth had 16 employees on what’s known as the “Sunshine List” – civil servants earning $100,000 or more annually.
The salaries and taxable benefits of employees in the Ontario Public Service and the broader public sector, who were paid $100,000 or more in 2015, were released last week. The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act requires public sector organizations to disclose, by March 31, the name, position, salary and taxable benefits of their employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.
Top of the list was CAO Brendan Holly, who earned $190,225.83.
Next was treasurer Mark Sirr, who pulled in $141,415.69. He was followed by Blaine Parkin, deputy CAO, who made $133,458.80.
Chad Horan, director of public works, made $126,852.34. He was followed by Hilary McCormack, $126,352.34; Daniel Heydon, Cindy Maher, John Miller and Richard Vatri, who all earned $125,852.34.
Next was Bruce Hoppe, planning director, who made $122,120.26.
Patrick D’Almada, parks director, made $113,484.64.
John Davis made $104,878.68. M. Jane Corbeil, Janet Heydon and Shawn Sweeney all pulled in $104,628.67. Simon Worley, deputy fire chief, rounded out the list with a salary of $102,483.16.
