Smash and grab at Alliston LCBO

On March 13, at 3:17 a.m., the Nottawasaga OPP were dispatched to an alarm at 36 Young Street in Alliston.
As police approached the scene they noticed a suspicious male walking along King Street.
Further investigation revealed the male was intoxicated, carrying a bag that containing alcohol and broken glass. Later, police would learn that the suspect smashed the front window of the Alliston LCBO store, grabbed two bottles of vodka and dropped one.
Charged is 34 year old Town of New Tecumseth resident, Trevor Benns, he is charged with the following charges: Break and Enter, Theft under $5000, Possession of property obtained by crime and Intoxicated in a public place.
He was held for a bail hearing on March 14.
