Volunteers and community partners gathered last Thursday to be recognized for their invaluable contributions to the South Simcoe Streams Network during the 2014 Aqua Boost Partner and Community Stream Champs Celebration.
The event served as an opportunity to thank the generous support from all partners and volunteers, almost 100 individuals and organizations who have helped make measurable improvements to local water health on public and privately owned land.
The event was hosted at Nantyr Shores Secondary School where Grade 10 students in the hospitality program prepared and served food before and after the award ceremony.
To get involved you can join the network or contact Sylvia Pedrazzi at Nottawasaga Futures by e-mail at sylvia@nottawasaga.com or by phone at 705-435-1540 ext. 102.
