St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School in Tottenham participated in its 18th Annual Terry Fox Walk to End Cancer on September 27th. Over the past 18 years the students and staff of STA, along with the local community, have come together to raise a total of $92,000; adding to that is this year’s donation totaling $3500, so far. The walk saw over 600 students, along with staff dressed in tie-dye colours to show their support for cancer research. Adding to the smiles of hope the day was enjoyed by sunny weather, live music, and refreshing Freezies. This day was made possible by the support of local business including Dairy Queen in Tottenham, Home Hardware, Bulk Barn, Wal-Mart, and the Tottenham and Schomberg Foodland stores.
