On Sunday, October 6th, at Trinity United Church in Beeton, a stained glass window dedication ceremony in memory of Thelma Jean Somers, (June 19, 1921 – August 30, 2012) known affectionately as “Somie” took place. The ceremony was hosted by her husband of 70 years, Thomas, and their family, including the couples eight children. The window depicts the ‘Nativity of Jesus’ and speaks to the mystery of faith and reminds us of that radical moment in Bethlehem, and reads: “When you lose someone, your love becomes a treasure. God is love, love one another”.
