Steam train rolls out on Easter weekend

Over the weekend, the South Simcoe Railway held its Annual Easter Express special event. Passengers came from far and wide to ride the steam train and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. The 2013 operating season will start on Sunday May 19th with regular excursions every Sunday and holiday Monday until Sunday October 20th. In addition, the train operates on Mondays and Tuesdays from July 15th to August 20th, plus the first three Saturdays in October. Sundays and holiday Monday departure times are: 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Other Mondays and Tuesdays from July 15th to August 20th only departure times are: 10:30 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m. The fare is $13; seniors 65+ $11; and children 3–15 $8.
