The 1st Annual ‘Relay Rally’ Classic Car Cruise & Poker Run, planned by the Marrs MASH Relay For Life Team, raised just over $500 for the Canadian Cancer Society this past weekend. Participants had a great time on the 300km circle tour from Beeton to Thornbury and back again on scenic routes with several stops along the way to cool off engines and heat up their poker hands. The winning hand (4 Aces) won a grand prize of hand detailing interior and exterior from McMullen’s Auto Sales. Many local businesses supported the Rally with a generous prize table that was very appreciated by those that attended. “Many thanks to McMullen’s Auto Sales, the Nottawasaga Inn, Beeton Petro Canada, East Side Mario’s Alliston, The Hair Gallery, Badger Daylighting, the Muddy Water Hotel and Bridges Tavern for making it a great community event,” said event organizer Sarah Marrs–Bruce. The Marrs MASH team or any other team participating in the Alliston Relay For Life (which takes place on June 13th at the PPG Park in Alliston) can be supported online at www.relayforlife.ca/alliston
