Ken & Bonnie Pratt, owners of the Beeton Foodland, shared their parking lot with organizers from Relay for Life, classic car enthusiasts and product demonstrators this past weekend. The event, which coincides with anniversary celebrations of the Foodland chain, was a way to promote shopping local and support residents who support one another. The days BBQ raised more than $300 for Relay team ‘It’s Time for A Cure’ in memory of Pat Murdock, who passed away from complications of colon cancer last week. Live entertainment was provided by Tim O’Rourke, of The Drake Bros.
