The TNT Super 6 team sponsored by Briway Carriers played their final game of the season against a Novice select team from the GTHL. The Leaside Flames were made up of 8 year old stars and were at the Nottawasaga Inn looking to take on some local contenders.
In the first it was all young stars as they still had the jump from the previous weekends title and wanted to prove that it was not a fluke. Halfway through, the twisters struck first as the dynamo line of Jake MacSween, Anthony MacDonald and Nate Holmes showed what it was like to play together. The finisher on this tally was “the Master” MacSween. Then late in the first, the dynamo’s struck again on a go to the net play from Nate “the Eagle” Holmes from MacDonald and Frost. 2–0 after one.
In the second, the domination continued as Jacob “Juggernaut” Jackson buried one by on passes from Max Gough and Jacob English. 3–0 after two.
The third saw the young Flames start to flare as they challenged our dynamic duo of Gregory “Game Savers” Prock and Luca “Aaaaamazing” Moras but with little success. Near the end of the frame, “the Master” Macsween struck again on a pass from Holmes and Blake Cubello to make the game a 4–0 out of reacher. When the final buzzer sounded, 4–1 was the final. A great year to all. What a way to end. Great play in our end by Ostrowski, Taylor, Frost and Smith. Great pressure all year in the offensive zone by Southwood, Virtue-McCague, Harvey-Dick, and our absent Meagan Houle. Great year.
