On September 28, from 2 – 8 p.m. the Tottenham Legion, located at 25 Richmond St. E., will be alive with the sound of music.
All proceeds will support Elijah, who was born with Eagle-Barrett Syndrome or prune belly syndrome.
“Elijah has been in and out of hospital for most of his 40 years. He has been perilously close to death a number of times over the last couple of years,” said event organizer Nick Dougherty. “John & Sharon Knauer want their son home. Their house is being outfitted with the bed, lifts, elevator and other equipment he needs. They have gone through extensive training to provide the care Elijah needs. John’s insurance does not cover the equipped-van they need to transport Elijah for frequent treatments at Toronto General Hospital. We want to lessen the burden as much as possible.”
Dougherty asked that you help “in any way you can” but especially by joining him on September 28th.
Confirmed musicians include: Steve Nashon & Co., Tom & Cathryn, Chris Beteau Band, Jerry Switzer, Lymphomaniacs, Gary Hubbard, Vinyl Groove and Willful Blues.
At the event there will also be prizes, a silent auction, games, food, and beverages ($).
