In April of 2012, an opportunity to “Find Your Voice” was offered to women of all ages in the Alliston area by Harmony, Inc. Music Director, Jan-Ake Westin. Since then, The Sugartones have grown to 30 women from New Tecumseth, Essa, Innisfil and Adjala-Tosorontio. In the past year, the group has performed at several venues, including fundraisers for local charities, Christmas events for local community groups and have entertained at seniors’ residences. This spring The Sugartones will be guest performers at the Women at Their Best fundraiser and the annual GNO spring concert. The groups cappella barbershop harmony style is enjoyed by all ages and Sugartones is becoming a recognized name in the community. Plan to join The Sugartones on Saturday May 11, as they take the stage at Knox Presbyterian Church (160 King Street South, Alliston).
