TBDCC thankful for Duckie Doo participants

Dear editor:

On behalf of the Board of Directors for the Tottenham-Beeton & District Chamber of Commerce, we would like to thank the participants in our Ducks for Bucks River Race and Members’ Community BBQ.

Although the Duck Race has been an annual Chamber event, the Community BBQ was the Chamber’s first.

The weather cooperated with a beautiful sunny day and we are pleased to say that those who participated enjoyed the opportunity to meet other Chamber Members and members of the Community.

It was an exciting Duck Race with over 440 plastic ducks floating, fighting and avoiding obstacles in competition for first, second and thrid place!   Duck number 311 came in First Place, just by the tip of his bill! Duck number 437 was close behind and took second place!  Duck number 170 came in third!

We have to thank our volunteers as well as Johanne Leduc and her Foodland team, Dayne Polny and the Waking Life Studios team, Sheila & Kevin Lander from Logo & Stitch, Toni Marconi and her Sittn Pretty team, O’Connor Family Treats, Ian Witherspoon from Prudential Ronan Realty, Helen Mabee from Prudential Ronan Realty, Brenda & Peter Wartha of Budget Blinds,Frank Caietta and Vince Gucciardi of Unique Tile & Coatings, Jim Funston of Devonleigh Homes  and Deputy Mayor Rick Milne for their help in making this event a success.

Special thanks goes out to the Recycled Teenagers Classic Car Club for their participation. It was great to see so many of you there and several people mentioned how much they appreciated you sharing your classic cars with us.
