We all hear the big “C” and want to prevent it from touching our lives.
Tec-We-Gwill Women’s Institute (WI) is hosting Shoshana Sherman, coordination advisor for Health Promotion at the Central Regional Cancer Program.
Shoshana’s program, Let’s Talk About Cancer Prevention, will touch on risks, ways to reduce your risk of developing cancer, and how you can take charge among other points of interest.
It will take place on June 24 at 1:30 p.m. at the Tec-We-Gwill WI (Newton Robinson) Hall, 4380 Line 10, Newton Robinson, Bradford West Gwillimbury.
There is no cost to attend.
Please contact us to reserve a seat, tecwegwillwi@gmail.com. Seating is first come, first served and the facility is wheelchair-accessible.
Women’s Institutes offer education programming and community support; advocate for social, environmental, and economic change, and work towards the personal growth of all women, for home and country.
If you are a woman 18 or older and want to be involved in supporting your community and building friendships and community, you can try out a Women’s Institute meeting.
