Thanks for a great Fall Fair!

To the Beeton and District Agricultural Society

Over the last three days, I have observed many wonderful things that all revolve around the Beeton Fair – The crowd of youth having fun at the midway on Friday night, folks learning about Sheldon Creek Dairy and modern farming, old friends meeting and catching up, children riding the rides and participating in the kids’ zone, everyone petting all the different animals and pretending to be some of them, teams working on their derby cars, and lots of people showing off their handiwork, their showmanship, their fancy cars/bikes/trucks/tractors, their children and their livestock.

All of these activities and memories are the result of the very hard work you and all your volunteers put in.  You should be very proud and very happy.

Someone said, “This is a whole lot of work for one day.”  But when you think about all the thousands of little things that happened over the three day event for the hundreds of people who visited or worked at the fair, it would actually total up to thousands of days.  Each person’s memory of the Fair will be different from the next as we all experience events in our own unique way.  In my memory, it was yet another wonderful fair where the community enjoyed each other’s company. Thank you and keep up the good work.
