Theft leads to drug charges

On Monday April 21st, at 11:49 a.m., an Nottawasaga OPP officer came across a female who was being accused by a store owner of theft from a convenience store on Victoria Street in Alliston. Police continued the investigation and charged 38 year old Town of New Tecumseth resident, Tonia Giles. She is charged with Possession of a Controlled substance x4, one count of Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. She will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 14.
