Tottenham–Beeton & District Chamber elects new board of directors

The Tottenham–Beeton & District Chamber of Commerce (TBDCC) hosted its annual Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Beeton Rotary Hall on Friday, September 25th.
At the meeting, several board members were acclaimed, including current vice president, Dayne Polny, secretary/treasurer Jerry Switzer, and board members Pat Jordan, Brenda Wartha, Ian Witherspoon and Wendy Gabrek.
Town of New Tecumseth representatives, Ward 8 Councillor, Chris Ross, and Ward 6 Councillor, Richard Norcross will also remain on the board.
Five new members were also voted-in. They include Andrea Jacks of Sir Corp (Jack Astor’s); Alison Jacks, of A Taste of Freedom / Chartered Accountant; Colleen Rideout Tottenham Steam; and Mary Bachlow, certified wedding planner and owner of Love’s Breath.
Evening itinerary included singing of the national anthem and musical entertainment by local singer/songwriter Sarah Hyde; caricature drawings by Beeton artist, Heidi Jordan; theatre performance by members of 4–Corners Improve Troop – Chandra Pepper and James Cole; buffet meal catered by The Whistle Stop Restaurant in Beeton; bar by the Beeton Legion; and DJ Dayne Polny of ‘We Love Sound Entertainment’.
Town of New Tecumseth Mayor, Rick Milne, brought greetings from the town and offered congratulations to Chamber members for the longevity and success of the organization.
Emcee for the evening, Wendy Gabrek, spoke of future plans for the TBDCC, including bringing back popular and lucrative events hosted by previous boards, and increased cooperation with other business networking organizations.
