The Tottenham & District Lions Club Inc. would like to thank everyone that supported the annual Christmas Cake and Goodies Sale. With the support of the community and surrounding areas, the Club was able to sell most of the items. All monies raised from the sale will go right back into the community.
Also at Christmas, the Lions participated the ‘Christmas Baskets’ program – for distribution to families in need within the community.
“We are always short items for teens, and we would like to thank the following for their donations in helping us out: Amlor Auto Service, Curves Tottenham an its members, Tottenham Dairy Queen, Tottenham Home Hardware and the Michael Worrod Memorial Fund,” said Shirley Wilding, Lions Club representative.
“At the moment, we are working on another fundraiser with Vesey’s Bulbs,” adds Wilding. “Spring is just around the corner (well, I hope it is) and we will be planting soon. The Club has a small flyer of items that can be purchased through the membership, with profits helping the Lions to offset costs. Are you interested in taking a look at the flyer, and maybe purchasing something? Give me a call at 905 936-2098 and I will get a booklet to you. Orders must be in by May 1st.”
The Tottenham & District Lions Club is always looking for new members. Are you interested in coming out and finding out more? Join a great group of men and women. Call Membership Chairman Shirley Wilding, at 905 936-2098, or talk to any Lions Club member to find out more.
