Traffic complaint aids police

The Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police received information on a traffic complaint on Sept. 28, at 3:10 a.m. regarding a possible impaired driver in the Township of Essa.

A Nottawasaga OPP observed the motor vehicle travelling westbound on County Road 90 from the 5th Line. Police located the vehicle and stopped it before it entered the populated area of Angus.

The driver was investigated for impaired driving and arrested. Charged is 24 year old Essa resident, Robert Hunt, he is charged with one count of Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle and failing to provide a breath sample under the Criminal Code of Canada, he was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Drive while under suspension.

The male will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on October 24, to answer to these charges.
